About the Centre

The DICOCO Diabetes Information Centre brings diabetes education, counselling, and community support directly to rural communities. We focus on children, youth, families, and caregivers, addressing myths, stigma, and limited access to health information.

Our Approach

We use traditional Makonde dances, storytelling, and drama to deliver diabetes messages. By combining culture and health education, complex medical information becomes engaging, easy to understand, and memorable.
